Hook Field

Our flying site is located about eight miles from downtown Auburn.  We are fortunate to have the use of this forty acre, private field, which is generously provided by one of our club members.  There is a 600’ by 50’ grass runway and a 1/3 acre pond for float flying.  In addition there is a shade structure with chairs, tables and a BBQ.  The club field has a number of flight stands for starting and working on aircraft and there is ample parking.  We fly gas, nitro and electric, both fixed wing, helicopters/multi-rotors.

On the first Saturday of the month the club has a Float/Fun Fly with a BBQ lunch.  This event starts about 9:00 AM with lunch around noon.  The lunch consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and water/soda for a nominal fee.  And we have a short club meeting following the lunch.

Because our field is located on private property, we must maintain good relations with the neighbors.  Therefore we only fly one day during the week, usually Wednesday or Thursday and then on both Saturday and Sunday.

If you would like to visit our flying field, please contact one of the club officers. He will be happy to arrange to meet with you and show you our field.
